Introduction to Person Centred Dementia Care
This is a one day course for people who are involved directly with supporting and caring for people who are living with dementia.

The day is delivered in four sections: introduction to and awareness of dementia; person centred care; working with others and awareness of communication and environmental issues.
This course will provide the learner with sufficient underpinning knowledge to inform practice enabling them to work towards being occupationally competent. The information delivered is aligned to Care for Skills QCF Level 2 Award Awareness of Dementia and Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Care (DEM 201; 202; 204; 207; 209; 210 & 211).
There is no element of assessment on this course. On completion of the day, learners will be awarded a certificate of attendance outlining the course content.
